We settled into our spot, just off Pig Beach, out of the way of the high speed tour boats and took the dinghy over to Staniel key to get the necessary supplies, fuel and lunch.

Since today will be the calmest of the next 4 we decided to bring the supplies back to the boat and go snorkeling at Thunderball Grotto. We were a little late so we needed to push through some current to get into the large cave that was filled with fish and nice light from several holes in the dome. After an hour we were back at the boat.
A good day with nice sailing almost all way left me totally exhausted or was it the beer at lunch. OK both!
On Friday the 4th the morning winds were not bad in the anchorage yet so we kayaked the shoreline. First we visited the famous swimming pigs. They started the day with my scraps but I know it got better for them.
In fact a rental seaplane, Coco air, brought a group of nine to feed them and get photos. I have never seen that before. Lots of caves along the shoreline and a cruisers beach we visited for cocktails with a large group last year. We passed by Fowl Cay Resort an all inclusive that will take care of you for about 12,000 a week. Such a deal.

I made breakfast of ham, potato, pepper and brussel sprout hash with poached eggs. Made complete with homemade English muffins. Now you see why the exercise is critical.
The winds steadily picked up overnight Friday sending all the boats especially ours swinging back and forth with the gusts. An important reason to keep connected is to get the story behind the photo we woke up to Saturday of our daughter with the caption I am ok but my car isn’t.
On her way home from work a driver hit her head on crushing every thing up to the driver’s compartment. Thank God for air bags that surrounded her leaving only a broken sternum and bruising. The other driver smelled of alcohol and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
We settle in to reading, blog work, giving myself a haircut and keeping an eye on everyone around. Late Saturday a 58 Ft Moorings Company catamaran anchored a bit close. After a while their paid Captian noticed my concern and I asked him to watch our swing and perhaps he might move away but no chance. I slept better after I placed a couple of large fenders at what I expected might be our CPA. (Closet point of approach)
Even though we are close to a cell tower with so many trapped boaters sucking up the bandwidth Sunday our livestream church from Camden and our livestream bread making class put on by Chris and Allison on Purrfect did not come in well. It is still helpful to connect with family/friends and have the ability to track the winds and frequent showers.
