| Lindsey and Zongda share Thanksgiving |
Last year I didn’t blog the trip because I thought who wants to hear about our travels when so much was in disarray so this year I would write about traveling through the beautiful Bahamas now that everything is simple again…….

Each year begins in a similar fashion as the year before with repairs/upkeep to the boat and some apprehension as to what will be coming. It is easier now that we have been there twice before. We can do all of the packing and planning but this year we’re learning that it’s the weather that controls the travel schedule and COVID trumps it all.
Just like a house on land our floating home needs constant maintenance and the more done on land the better.

Also because I love to eat I am learning to cook. It started with candies made with the coconuts I collected then plantains, breads with coconut and cinnamon raisin and English muffins. I am collecting recipes and making pasta, ravioli and even healthy hearty crackers. Not to mention a respectable Manhattan as well.

My boating skills are improving as I repair everything from waste system upgrades to line splicing.
